Main pit is located in Galen: entrance is at the S-curve of Marble and Reed Road. Located at Wayne/Seneca County line.
Topsoil and clay are located offsite.

Anthony Dendis - President
Anthony is a second-generation owner of Dendis Sand & Gravel and is proud to continue the legacy his parents built. With a BSCE in Civil Engineering and geotechnical construction/engineering, Anthony brings a unique perspective to the mining and aggregate industry. Alongside his brother Michael, he is committed to maintain the high standards our customers expect. Anthony will continue his education in 2025 at Missouri S&T to pursue graduate level courses in mining engineering. If he has a free minute you can catch him at the golf course, watching the big game, or trying to keep up with his boys Nicholas and Connor.

Michael has been an integral part of Dendis Sand & Gravel Inc. since he started his journey with the company during high school and dedicating his entire adult life to its success. With hands-on experience in every aspect of operations, Michael's deep knowledge of the industry ensures that the company runs smoothly and efficiently.
As a second-generation owner, Michael is passionate about upholding the company's values of quality, reliability, and hard work.
Outside of the business you can expect Michael to be exploring the outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, foraging. Above all, he loves spending time with his three daughters, sharing his love for nature and creating cherished memories together.

The story of DSG begins with a vision and sheer determination from Joe. Starting out with nothing more than a dump truck and later a front end loader, he built the company from the ground up. Joe expanded the company by purchasing mines and developing a reputation for dependability and excellence. The relentless work ethic and commitment to quality laid the foundation for a business that has stood the test of time. Most call it luck, but we call it perseverance. Joe is "semi" retired now, enjoying the winter months in Florida. When he's not on the golf course or boat he will occasionally lend the boys a piece of advice. In NY you might even spot him playing in an excavator or dozer.

Helen was both the backbone of the Dendis family and the business in the early days. While raising her boys as a dedicated stay-at-home mom, she also managed all of the behind the scenes bookkeeping and administrative tasks for Dendis Sand & Gravel, ensuring the company's operations ran smoothly. Her unwavering support and attention to detail played a vital role in the company's growth and success, allowing Joe to focus on building the business. Helen exemplifies the spirt of hard work and balance, contributing not just to family's livelihood but also the legacy of the business. Along with Joe, Helen is also "semi" retired, living full time in Florida. You'll for sure see her on the sun-deck next to the pool, walking on the beach at Sanibel, checking out a local BINGO night, and chasing around her pups, Lucy and Scarlett.
